The World Record of conducting ‘dialysis of oldest person’ has been achieved by SDM College of Dental Sciences from Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru hospital from Raipur, Chattisgarh, India.

Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru hospital of Raipur has the distinct Word Record to have successfully conducted the dialysis of a person aged 100 years. The 100 year old woman comes from the Ambikapur region of the state of Chattisgarh in Central India. Her body was anemic and she suffered from a renal failure before being admitted to the hospital.

The World Record of the ‘longest hair on an individual’s head’ has been achieved by Ms. Xie Quiping from Lifu Guilin, China.

The total length of Ms. Quiping’s hair is measured to be 5.627 m (18 ft 5.54 in). Xie Quiping was born in 1960 and has been growing hair from the age of 13. She has never stopped growing her hair.

The World Record of ‘most number of t-shirts worn at once’ has been achieved by Sanath Bandara from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Sanath Bandara: a marathon runner; took 1 hour 7 minutes and 3 seconds to wear Two Hundred Fifty Seven (257) t-shirts one over other. Event organized on Dec 22, 2011 at a public park of Colombo was witnessed by thousands of spectators.

World’s Largest Tea Party

The World Record for the largest tea party in the world is held by the city of Indore, MP, India.

On 28th Feb 2008 More than 40,000 participants joined forces to become a part of the world’s largest tea party. The venue for the particular event was Nehru Stadium in Indore. The event was organized by the Dainik Bhaskar group which is one of the leading media and publishing house of Central India. The total number of volunteers for the event were 980 who used a total of 2500 liters of milk and 2500 liters of water. Along with that, 250 kgs of tea and sugar were used to prepare the beverage. Tea Board along with consumer goods production company Hindustan Lever were the co-sponsors of the event.

The World Record for ‘largest flaming image’ has been achieved by 118 Sandoz employees of Pakistan at the Hotel Serena in Faisalabad, Pakistan.

on 10 December 2009 using candles consisted of 35,478 candles. The completed image was made of the Sandoz logo and motto and had an area of 910.45 m² (9,800 ft²). The number of participants who drew the image was 118 and it took them 7 hours to draw the image. After this, another 1.5 hours were needed to place the candles, and 42 minutes to set them alight.

The world record of the ‘longest bridge in the world’ has been achieved by Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge from Jiangsu, China.

The total length of the bridge is 164.8 kilometers (102.4 mi) and lies on the long viaduct on the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway line. Almost the entire length of the Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge is of the viaduct style of construction. The bridge is located on the rail line between Shanghai and Nanjing in East China’s Jiangsu province. The total cost of building the bridge was $ 8.5 billion and was completed in 2011.

The World record of ‘largest religious gathering of people at a single location’ has been achieved by Kumbh Mela of Allahabad Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Kumbh Mela held in Allahabad from 14th Jan 2013; to 10th Mar 2013; holds the record for the Worlld’s Largest Religious gathering. The number of people attending the Kumbh Mela in the year 2013 is more than 80 million. Kumbh Mela is a festival involving mass Hindu pilgrimage. It is held every third year in four different cities in India namely Ujjain, Nashik, Allahabad and Haridwar on a rotational basis. Thus, each of the above mentioned cities gets a chance to host the Kumbh Mela every twelve years. The Kumbh Mela of year 2013 is being held in Allahabad (Prayag) at the confluence of Ganges, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati rivers. All the pilgrims who visit the Kumbh Mela take a holy dip in the confluence. The largest single gathering on one day was registered on 10th Feb. 2013 when a reported 30 million people were present on the banks of the confluence.

The World Record “Fastest Calculation of LCM” has been achieved by Sayyad Rehan Ali from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Mr. Rehan has calculated the least common multiple (LCM) of 125 two digit numbers. Maximum time of a LCM calculation was 4 seconds.

Sayyad Rehan Ali had attempted the record in the programme Miracle of One an initiative of Non Profit Organization SRV SEWA (Shri Vision Social Empowerment & Welfare Association) on 05/11/12 at J. J. Public School, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
