Largest Human Depiction of a Continental Map

The World Record of ‘largest human depiction of a continental map’ has been achieved by Belron International from Old Windsor, UK.

On Sept 23, 2016; Eight Hundred Eleven (811) people stood together to form the image of the continent Africa map. The world record was attempted to support the Spirit of Belron Challenge event and fundraising for Afrika Tikkun.

The World Record of ‘first mantra tower’ has been achieved by Namah Shivaya Mission Trust from Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, India.

In 2015; under the auspicious and sagacious guidance of Swami Shivoham Bharti Ji, trust has constructed the first mantra tower of the world. The tower has been crammed with the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ billions in numbers.

The World Record of ‘tallest dome’ has been achieved by St. Peter basilica from Rome, Italy.

The dome of St. Peter’s rises to a total height of 136.57 meters (448.1 ft) from the floor of the basilica to the top of the external cross. The dome was designed in 1547 by Michelangelo. It is the tallest dome in the world.

The World Record of ‘longest hula hooping (male)’ has been achieved by Mr. Ian Giles from Cape Town, South Africa.

The longest hula hooping by an individual using a single hoop lasted for 75hours and 30 minutes. Mr. Giles managed the hoop to revolve around the shoulders and hips all the time.

The World Record of ‘smallest road-licensed car’ has been achieved by Mr. Austin Coulson from Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

The smallest car is 63.5cm high, 65.41cm wide and 126.47cm long. It has been licensed to be on the road at speeds of up to 40 km/h. It is built with a custom frame on a 57 Chevrolet Belair mock-up body, with a kiddy quad engine to power it. It is completely street legal, with a safety glass windshield, functioning windscreen wipers, tail lights, turn signals and brake lights and seat belt.

The World Record of ‘largest effigy of Ravan and Family trio’ has been achieved by Sarvjanik Dussehra Utsav Samiti from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.

On Oct 22, 2015; Samiti made the largest trio effigy which measured Ravan (110), Kumbhakaran (80) and Meghnath (80) feet.

Mr. Rajesh Munat; Minister Transport, PWD and Environment, Government of CG coordinated the program.

Biggest Thumb Sculpture

The World Record of ‘biggest thumb sculpture’ has been achieved by Le Pouce from Paris, France.

Mr. César Baldaccini has created this sculpture; the César. Le Pouce ‘The Thumb’ is an over-sized sculpture on display in the La Défense quarter of the City of Light. Tipping the scales at 18 tonnes, Mr. Baldaccini modelled this Twelve (12) metre high digit on his own thumb.

The World Record of ‘most slanted bridge’ has been achieved by The Eshima Ohashi bridge from Japan.

The1.7 km long, two lane Eshima Ohashi bridge is so vertiginous that ships can pass underneath it. It connects the cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato, spanning a mile across Lake Nakaumi. It has a gradient of 6.1 percent on the Shimane Prefecture side and 5.1 percent on the Tottori Prefecture side.
