Most People Hugging Trees

The World Record of ‘Most people hugging trees’ has been achieved byKorea Forest Service from Cheon, Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea.

on the occasion of the International Day of Forests; One Thousand Two Hundred (1200) people hugged the trees at Korea National Arboretum.


Previous World Records:

World Record of ‘Most people hugging trees’ was achieved by a group of people from Katmandu, Nepal. As on June 5, 2011 on the occasion of World Environment Day 879 (Eight Hundred Seventy Nine) people hugged the trees for two minutes to spread the message ‘save the trees and save the earth’.

The World record “Most people hugging trees at a single location” was achieved by non profit organization SRV SEWA (Shri Vision Social Empowerment & Welfare Association) during the programme Miracle of One on 09/11/11 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. 111 people hugged the trees at Campus of Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Devi Ahilya University, Indore for a minute. Record was attempted to aware the people about the importance of trees. Trees are the true friends of mankind so we must save them. Trees were hugged to symbolize the friendship of man and trees and it represented that we care for trees. Programme Miracle of One was supported by leading news paper of Indore “Dainik Dabang Dunia”.
