The world record of the ‘highest waterfall’ has been achieved by the ‘Angel Falls’ from Canaima National Park, Guiana Highlands, Bolívar, Venezuela.

The falls sit on the Churú River; with a height of 979 m (3,212 ft). Angel Falls has also been called by indigenous name Kerepakupai Merú.

Tugela Falls with the height of 948 m is located in Drakensberg in the Royal Natal National Park in KwaZulu-Natal Province, Republic of South Africa.

Vinnufossen with the height of 860 m is located in village of Sunndalsøra in the municipality of Sunndal in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway.

Sutherland Falls is located near Milford Sound in New Zealand’s South Island. The water plunges in three cascades; the upper is 229 meters (751 ft.) tall, the middle – 248 meters (813 ft.) and the lower – 103 meters (338 ft.), in a total vertical fall of 580 meters (1902 ft.).

Kaieteur Falls with the height of 741 feet/226 metres is located in Kaieteur National Park, Potaro-Siparuni Region, Guyana.

Yosemite Falls with the height of 739 m metres is located in Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada of California, United States.

Cuquenan Falls also known as Kukenam with the height of 670 metres is located in San Francisco de Yurani, Venezuela.

Sutherland Falls with the height of 581 metres is located in Fiordland, South Island, New Zealand.

Della Falls with the height of 440 metres is located in Strathcona Provincial Park, Vancouver Island, Canada.

Krimml Falls with the height of 380 metres is located in High Tauern National Park, Krimmler Wasserfälle, Salzburg state Austria.

Dudhsagar Falls with the height of 310 metres is located on Goa-Karnataka state border, India. Dudhsagar means the Sea of Milk; it is one of the world’s most exquisite falls.

Trou de Fer Falls with the height of 210 metres is located in the coast of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.

Victoria Falls with the height of 108 metres (355 ft) is located in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world.

Niagara Falls located on the Canadian-American border, measures a height of 50 m (165 ft).
